ASB Officer Descriptions

ASB President    

  • - Represents the student body at school, district, and civic meetings
  • - Develops agenda for, and presides, at student council meetings
  • - Knows the basic rules of parliamentary procedure
  • - Votes when there is a tie
  • - Conducts him/herself with academic integrity and exemplary conduct
  • -Participates in all school activities

ASB Vice President

  • - Represent the student body at school, district, and civic meetings (as requested by the president)
  • - Knows the basic rules of parliamentary procedure
  • - Serves in the absence of the president
  • - Coordinates the work of committees (specficially Inter Club Council)
  • - Conducts him/herself with academic integrity and exemplary conduct
  • -Participates in all school activities

ASB Secretary

  • - Keeps accurate minutes of meetings
  • - Handles all council correspondence
  • - Reports at each meeting the minutes from previous meeting
  • - Type materials for student council officers and committee chairpeople
  • - Conducts him/herself with academic integrity and exemplary conduct
  • -Participates in all school activities

ASB Treasurer

  • - Presents proposed budget of activities to the student council
  • - Handles all funds and signs all Pos/Warrants
  • - Keeps accurate record on income and expenses
  • - Reports at each meeting on money matters
  • - Coordinates fundraising projects of the student council
  • - Conducts him/herself with academic integrity and exemplary conduct
  • -Participates in all school activities

Class Officer Descriptions

Class President  

  • - The Class President shall serve as an advocate for all students and ensure that all class projects and activities are aligned with the class officers’ overall goals.
  • - All Class Presidents shall work closely with the ASB officers in implementing school activities.
  • - Will help with all fundraising planning and events.
  • - Responsible for working with Class officers on implementing Class Specific Activities (Seniors = Senior Sunrise, Senior Ball, Disneyland & Senior Sunset; Juniors = Junior Prom; Sophomores = Winter Ball)
  • - Must attend all Student Council meetings, school activities and works closely with all other Class Officers to ensure the success of all activities.

Vice President    

  • - The Class Vice President shall serve to support the Class President.
  • - All Class Vice Presidents shall work closely with the ASB Vice President in implementing school activities.  
  • - Assumes responsibilities for absent Presidents at meetings.
  • - Responsible for working with Class President on implementing all Specific Activities (Seniors = Senior Sunrise, Senior Ball, Disneyland & Senior Sunset; Juniors = Junior Prom; Sophomores = Winter Ball)
  • - Must attend all Student Council meetings, school activities and works closely with all other Class Officers to ensure the success of all activities.     

Secretary     

  • - The Class Secretary shall serve to improve the communication between Class officers and the students of their class.
  • - Reports directly to ASB Secretary.
  • - All Class Secretaries shall work together to keep all announcements current.
  • - Class Secretaries to work on advertising fundraisers through posters, announcements, flyers, etc.
  • - Must attend all Student Council meetings, school activities and works closely with all other Class Officers to ensure the success of all activities.          

Treasurer

  • - The Class Treasurer shall serve to ensure that class finances are sound and used wisely for class activities.
  • - Attends class fundraisers and is present to aid ASB Treasurer in collecting and counting funds.
  • - Schedules at least one fundraiser per month for class.
  • - Senior Class Treasure has the responsibility of implementing and carrying through on-site class fundraisers.
  • - Must attend all Student Council meetings, school activities and works closely with all other Class Officers to ensure the success of all activities.

Friday Activities

At least twice a month, Friday Activities are held at lunch in the cafeteria or in the gym. These activities range from a watermelon eating contest to a letter writing campaign.
